WebIoT is a self-developed, flexible, scalable, and web-based IoT cloud platform with integrated AI that is used for developing and managing IoT devices and end-to-end applications. Based on state-of-the-art IoT technologies, WebIoT is compatible with most of the devices and sensors that are available in the IoT space. Thanks to its flexible architecture, WebIoT is easily adapted to new IoT solutions that can be used in various fields and applications that are developing in a rapid pace and are growing continuously. WebIoT is based on open standards such as MQTT, Rest API, HTTPS, SSL and does not use proprietary protocols. WebIoT is easily accessed from any PC, tablet, or smartphone. Once logged in, the user is provided with an overview of solution devices (sensors) and an overview of asset structures, for example, buildings, districts, or cities. The WebIoT user interface features dashboards, where the important solution data is presented. The dashboards are configurable and can, for example, be used to create bars, graphs, scatter charts, pie charts, and maps for visualizing large amounts of data. Furthermore, reports and statistics can be aggregated, and different types of widgets can be used to show information in a specific location in the user interface. Sensor alarms can be configured so that WebIoT alerts users via SMS and e-mail when a sensor detects a value outside of a specified range. WebIoT provides notifications, for example, if a sensor runs out of battery or due to communication inactivity. The WebIoT architecture is based on a microservice architecture and consists of modular and exchangeable SW components. WebIoT provides industrial standard APIs that enable integration with external platforms/SCADA/third party security providers. WebIoT can be used without the visualization component if customers are using other systems for visualizing information and want to use communication and sensor data decoding via WebIoT’s APIs.
